our Glastonbury trip

ok so we had taken her to portsmouth once and all went well so i wasnt to worried about going to glasto how ever we got a new Indicator switch and fitted that and thought all was ok .
so its wed 1.30am morning and ive got about 20 people all following me up to the festival [they dont know the way] and we have only gone about 20 foot when theres fire coming from under the steering wheel aaahaahhaahah im blowing as if thats going to help when the wife turns the fire extinguisher on the flames well luckily i hadn't thrown the old one away so i fitted that buck on and off we go again although i didnt know if i had indicators or wipers [id broken the arm a little]
so we get to somerset and no rain as yet then we got lost then came the rain ..nightmare i think THEN the passagers side wiper thinks i know ill have a holiday here in some field in somerset so off it flys and its still lying ther having a nice time while i get to Glastonbury festival covered in white powder missing a wiper lol.
anyhow had a great time .....
mon she starts up lovely and its a nice day so no need for wiper trundled home nice a slow didnt get lost THEN only 5 miles from home splutter splat she stops ..cant find anything wrong so call out the recovery people and get brought home on the back of a lorry lol .........
not bad for our first big run ah .
anyhows she fixed now and we are of the France tomo so wish us luck

at this point id like to thank all those especially phill that have help with there advise top of the range
thanks and hope to see you in a week

hi ,
we saw your van at glastos , i think we had a chat about our beddys , i was joined onto my mates caravan ?
on our journey all was well until stonehenge and all my electrics packed up for some strange reason so i pulled over and we made a cuppa .
got back in the drivers seat and hey presto she started and ran as if nothing happened (weird) .
got to glasto on friday afternoon just as the rain started so chocked her up , levelled her up and there we stayed until the following tuesday .
on the way home she ran sweet , steady 50-60 all the way until stonehenge again (weird again) the speedo cable broke not 5 yards from the same spot as when we went .
ok , minor problem only had 20 or so miles to go so guessed my speed all the way home , i sure do love my beddy

Glastonbury '11 was our first time out with our recently acquired CF (Dolly)...and of course, the torrential rain at the festival soon showed up our leaking window seals......and as you can see from the piccie.... liberal use of gaffer tape solved the problem (tidied up a bit now).
We were camped on the Oxfam stewards field and there were a few other beddies there and that's when I found out about this site (great site.....thanks guys for that).... and that a "Beddy Tribe/Community" existed!...fantastic!
We are now this week off on a long trip around the west country...visiting friends...and we don't have to sleep on the sofa/floor.....more fantastic!

Heres hoping the old girl's big heart (engine) holds out and we have a trouble free trip.........

John & Gilly
