cf250 sv100 auto

HI just need some advice again while driving my cf back home to barrow in furness.I noticed that the gearbox kept wanted to change down as i tried to accelerate i wonder if any could give me a clue as to why cheers

If the "auto" in your title refers to automatic gearbox & not Autosleeper,then it'll be the kickdown.Depressing the pedal slower should solve the problem.

Before attempting to adjust anything make sure that the transmission fluid level is correct (between FULL & ADD marks on dipstick when van on the level, transmission at normal operating temperature, engine idling in P or N).

Cable kick-down is adjusted at the connection under the toe panel (cab floor) on the driver's side; access is under the bonnet.

Correct adjustment is half a turn slack from detent valve hard against stop with accelerator fully depressed.

I.e. take out all play in cable with accelerator fully depressed then turn adjuster nut back half a turn before securing lock nut.

Vacuum kick-down (no cable, vacuum connection at adaptor for servo on intake manifold): check for leaks at hose connections at manifold & at vacuum modulator on transmission. Not adjustable.
