Trailer Plea

Hope people don't think I am being cheeky here or breaking forum etiquette - but I've just bought a non runner CF2 Autosleeper for spares or repair on eBay and need to trailer it 21 miles from Feltham Middx to home in Palmers Green in north London.

I would be very grateful if any member were in a position to lend me a 2.5 ton trailer or even lug the thing for me - in return for payment of course ! Failing that, can anyone recommend a sensibly priced recovery firm in the north or west London area ?

Many thanks

No problem in my view - a good question I think because shifting non-runner/non-legal CFs is a recurring issue.

Hope you get some helpful answers.

Have you got breakdown recovery for your own vehicle? If so,give them a ring they might offer you a cheaper option than ringing round these.

I hired one from indespension when I picked up my CF, about £80 for the day from memory, but that was 5 or 6 years ago. They have hire centres all over.

Thanks for some very helpful replies and the kind offer of a transporter ! In the end I found a contractor who will do the job for £150. By the time I'd hired a good trailer and driven a round trip of 40 - 50 towing miles at probably 10 mpg in my current CF, there was not much in it cost-wise.
