What have I done!?! Hello Beddy people,I'm a proper newby, having left my deposit for what the man called a Bedford CF CB22 Motorhome last night. I haven't even got it yet! I collect it on Friday. My story: I've always secretly wanted a Beddy - my dad used to timber line vans when I was a young un and I always loved the Bedfords for some reason. Anyway, having owned a nice little Nissan Vanette Devon Venturer for while, we had to get rid of her and were pretty miserable as a result. I promised the missus that I would find a replacement and saw this as my opportunity to bring in a Beddy. And I did ![]() I'm really looking forward to picking him up (is it wrong to allocate a gender before you own one or just wrong full stop?). We got around and did a bit of wild camping in the UK in the Vanette and spent the summer trundling around Europe a bit, so I'm hoping we can relive past glories and find new places in our new Beddy. I live in Buckinghamshire and plan on getting away as much as possible once I've established exactly what needs doing. Just thought I'd say hi, really. It's great to see that there are a fair few people who own one of these and I'm sure I will be asking questions left, right and centre once I have collected him! I've just been looking for a Motorhome servicing centre to book in to for a once over and the first guy I contacted refused to on the grounds of the likelihood of it being "rotten through and through". Not a great start. I have a question already actually, but I'll look for the right place to put it rather than put it on this newby post. ---------------------- |

Right. From now on, it is a non-gender-specific, nameless vehicle. Thanks for your welcomes! ![]() And thanks bluebedouln for the link to the brochure. The flares are awesome. Optional, I hope. ![]() |

The flares are optional but I'm afraid the shirt is compulsory ![]() ---------------------- |

What have you done. Hi Standy,What you have done is take on a life times work, but the best feeling on earth when it is on the road albeit in the slow lane. Welcome to the Bedford world of odd remarks and loud laughter, but you will grow a thick skin. Doug. ---------------------- |

Welcome to the club. I too have an Autosleeper CB22, which cost £7600 when new in 1978 (bought by my Dad!) My fingers are crossed that your framework is in good fettle as they can suffer badly if the fibreglass top/sidewall junction trim has leaked. ![]() ---------------------- |
