self adjust rear brakes

has anyone tried fitting self adjusting rear brakes to a cf ? only asking as from looking thru the parts catalogs while searching for brake parts for my camper, I notice that the LDV van sorry for swearing has the same brake shoes, cylinder, & handbrake setup (but with self adjusters) as the cf with 10" brakes with manual adjusters which I have on my van

cant see why they cant be fitted so long as all parts are available.
