Gearbox ratios Hello all,Just a quick question if I may. There are gearboxes for sale on ebay with different ratios in them. item no. 140949010084 Can anyone tell me the advantages of either of these? I'm not sure what mine are, my reg number is HJT 809N and its a panel van. Cheers Ian ---------------------- | Tue 16 Apr 2013 @ 23:17 |

1 box is a low ratio unit and the other is a standard unit. the low ratio was fitted to the twin wheeled Beddys to enable them to carry a big load and pull away with out burning out their clutch. your Beddy probably has a vauxhall or bedford unit fitted. with out some adaptations it wont fit. Whats up with yours? | Wed 17 Apr 2013 @ 09:03 |

Thanks for that, mine's fine, but just wondered if I could improve top end by fitting a different box. Maybe an overdrive could be an option? | Thu 18 Apr 2013 @ 07:30 |
