Carver cascade 1

Hi it's John again can anyone help with a cascade 1 water heater it works ok but is hard to light . Can these be serviced or am I better to replace it . Has anyone fitted a different system . Which is the best to go for . Cheers john

There's no reason why it can't be serviced,the deciding factor has got to be cost!
Have you had a look at it yourself,it could just need a good clean?

Hi don't really know how to clean as I don't have a manual but will give it a go with advice . Also should it have a cover over the tank? Cheers john

Those Carver heaters are actually really good and you deffo don't want to replace it. Gary at Arc Systems sell loads of bits and have all the manuals for various Carver things to download for nowt.

He really knows his stuff Arc website

There is a thread of problems and solutions here [url=http://community.preloved.co.uk/forums/discussion/8909]Carver Q&A[/url] which is pretty useful too

He is based in Notts but does repairs and spares by mail order too

Wow thanks for the tip Gary really knows his stuff got all the info from your link and gave him a quick call I hope it just needs a clean. This is a common problem with cascade 1&2 they light but then a pop and they go out again . Cheers john
