I'd give ebay a go. if you cant find them searching for Bedford CF, try "Vauxhaul CF". some suppliers stock them as a Vauxhaul. | Thu 09 May 2013 @ 17:50 |

There's a few on there that seem to fit the bill thanks for that. I'm a bit confused now as when I looked at the Haynes the mounting is pin top and bottom. My shocks are pin top and ring bottom. Are CF1 same as CF2? At 38 quid a shock plus delivery to Ireland I don't want to be pulling the wrong ones out of the box. Any help greatly appreciated. Micheal | Fri 10 May 2013 @ 10:13 |

hmmm, my CF2 is parked at my folks at the minute so can't check. Have you looked in the supplemental section at the back of the Haynes - this gives you more info about the CF2. Found this on ebay for you - you were right http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-FRONT-SHOCK-ABSORBER-VAUXHALL-CF230-250-280-84-87-/161022867916?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item257db5f9cc They only have one though :-( | Fri 10 May 2013 @ 11:11 |

the shocks should have a pin at both top and bottom. the bottom is attached to a plate thats a bugger to get off as the studs snap off. could be that some one has changed yours for different type. are yours got a flat bar running through a round rubber ring ,if so you need to find what make and model they are.. | Fri 10 May 2013 @ 19:14 |

I've taken one shock off but shouldn't i have a coil spring cos I don't!! What is doing my suspension surely the shock just do the damping. I'm beginning to think that this is a special ambulance set up. The shock says MADE IN ENGLAND and has what looks like a part no. LP706 4JC. Any ideas? | Sat 11 May 2013 @ 17:07 |

you never said that you had a 4x4 system fitted Micheal. this is a different ball game and getting parts can be tricky. I will check to see what should be fitted | Mon 13 May 2013 @ 09:11 |

Just thought I'd post a couple of photos of my ambulance shocks in case they ring any bells. The top pin connection is only 10 mm but the hole in the axle is more like 14mm. If i was to make some enquiries about custom made shocks what weight figure should I quote? The plate under the bonnet says: Axle 1 1340 kgs Axle 2:2310 kgs GVW 3500 kgs Micheal | Wed 15 May 2013 @ 13:28 |
