Looking for re-assurance! Started the CF up today for the first time this year(it's an autosleeper with the monocoque body), and gave it a short run out.It took a little bit of starting but got there in the end, and seems to be going fine. However..... A couple of times as I was initially pulling away it gave a sort of wee popping noise and felt as if it was struggling a little. It could be down to the fact that I'd just changed into too high a gear for the speed I was doing and it was labouring a little, and also that the engine was still warming up. Once the temperature gauge had climbed a bit, then it was running fine with no popping at all. What worries me slightly is that I'm about to book it in for converting to LPG in the next couple of weeks, and I was told that it had to be running well on petrol, otherwise it could cause problems for LPG. Is it just a symptom of the engine warming up, or is it something more serious? ---------------------- | Sat 22 Jun 2013 @ 16:16 |

If it's been sat that long it could be condensation build up in the carb/distributor.Contaminated(condensation build up again)fuel in the tank. If you only use it during the summer months it's always best to start it at least once a week in between times. ---------------------- | Sun 23 Jun 2013 @ 01:54 |

The pop could simply be a result of slightly lean running as the engine was yet to reach temperature. you get a bit of a misfire and it blows back through the carb. Nothing to worry about, so long as it is only occasional and when cold. | Mon 24 Jun 2013 @ 13:54 |
