tyre age There are a pair of 'new old stock' tyres on eBay I'd like to buy. They are unused, still have the manufacturers stickers on. They were made in 2002. Does that sound too old to be worth the risk? No idea how long tyres can reasonably last for. ---------------------- | Mon 08 Jul 2013 @ 00:18 |

It all depends on how they have been kept. If they been staked out of the sun and kept in a rack then they should be OK to use.. you need to examine them closely to check for cracks and deterioration though ........ | Mon 08 Jul 2013 @ 09:10 |

Yeah, good point... I was thinking only of age not how they'd been stored. I think I'll give them a miss as there's no way of seeing before buying. They seem like a bargain but there could well be a reason for that. Cheers Gethin ---------------------- | Mon 08 Jul 2013 @ 09:14 |
