Slugs Is it just me or is 'salting slugs' a really enjoyable pastime

Definitely not just you. 
I went out in the garden last night to clear the cobwebs from my cameras.There must have been about half a dozen of the little  s (actually some of 'em were big s!).I pushed 'em all on to a shovel then tipped them in the gutter.
Then I went back for the salt.
