New Carb for 2.3 petrol

The Weber on my 1983 Autosleeper is knackered and I've been told a new 34 ICH will fit OK though not quite original and does not have a fuel shut off. Any advice gratefully received on how suitable this carb is and what problems may be encountered fitting it - before the petrol bills bankrupt me ! BTW I do have an electronic fuel pump and a Filter King regulator which should stop fuel being delivered when it's not wanted. Many thanks
