Ignition timing marks, CF2 2.0T

Hi,

Could anyone explain (or even better, show with a picture) where the timing marks are on a 1986 CF2 (2.0T petrol engine)

The Haynes manual is very vague

Thanks

Stu

If you look at the drivers side of the engine , at the back you will find a cut out with a pointer and a raised rivet on a small plate attached to the rear casing.

When no 1 piston is on compression stroke, when on TDC you should see a dimple in the flywheel.

5'BTDC is when this dimple is aligned with the pointer. TDC is when aligned with the rivet .

Great, thanks. Will take a look and see if I can find them.
