Bleeding Midi

How do I bleed a Midi 2.2 diesel engine? Mine is stranded as I type this and am advised that it could be blocked filter or air lock. Where exactly is filter located and whats best way to bleed these Isuzu engines? Nope I didn't run low on fuel so probably blocked filter as its idling speed has been low recently and was pig to start on last journey. It just died at a set of lights and refused to start after that.

Forget it. Got up early and armed with a can of diesel (you never know) and assorted spanners went to try and rescue the midi. Being stuck in a two hour limit parking area was a driving factor to say the least.

After an hour tinkering around with constant fear of an emerging traffic warden, I discovered one black fragile cable with one tiny strand of clean copper wire at the end of it. Aha I thought, that looked new. Found its rightful place, made temporary connection and it fired into life - phew.

Thanks - Me too. Mind you theres so much heat generated in engine bays, on older vehicles the wiring tends to get rather baked and consequently brittle - no surprise I guess.

There are still around six wires laying in engine bay that I have no idea where they are supposed to go to. Has anyone a woring diagram for Bedford Midi Isuzu? For starters the engine/oil temperature guage (and I presume this is the one located on the right hand side of the block if you're looking forward) has no wire to it.

There aren't that many wires required for a diesel I suppose but its kind of worrying not knowing what the free ones are for.

Anyone help on that?
