Bedford cf 81 autosleeper

Hello all, new here...me n the missis have just bought a cf autosleeper(so im told)..too say we,re campervan virgins would be a MASSIVE understatement..after its maiden voyage(200mile trip home), it seems to run fine..inside needs a tidying..n im gonna have it resprayed in a funky colour
my probs are ...i know nothing about campers whatsoever:# so over the coming weeks i,ll be asking lots of questions that,ll make you all think..A, this bloke,s a retard
B, surely he must know that
But im hoping you,ll all help all the same, its got 2 heavy duty batteries under the passenger seat, that i take provide power for the inside(but nothing works yet),they are charged though..its got a 240v hook up on the outside.Under the sink there,s a water pump..but ive not found a water..waste water tank yet..i havent traced the pipes back..but hopefully it,ll be there somewhere...and i havent found a bonnet catch anywhere yet:?
I,ll be sure to make the newest member look like a old pro,but plzd ta meet you all.........my education starts now;D

hi fuzzy and croeso to the bedheads.

you will probably find that your waste runs straight out and you need to buy a waste tank to stick under when parked.
plenty around on e bay or just use a bucket if you are on sites. if you are wilding it it does become a little harder as you need to dispose of carefully so it's better to have something you can seal and carry away with you.
ask away and don't worry about sounding daft. as gethin says we all had to start somewhere and the important thing is you have started.
better to ask and do it properley than make a cock up and get into trouble or even worse give a bad rep to campers in general. I wish all were sensible enough to ask.

:) thanks alot

I`m still having a go at getting the cushions to fit into a bed heehee! I`m taking my daughter (3) to a festival in June and am hoping to get it all in working order, and to be able to use it by then.

My fella Tim (who posted the last few posts) is gonna pimp it up for me !!

PS what does Croeso mean (proper newbies ain`t we!) lol

It's Welsh for Welcome. There's a lot of us Welsh on here :)
It's also the name of a little village not far from Blaenau Ffestiniog in North Wales.

Sorry Gethin, it's been a few years since I walked through those hills. It's a lovely walk from Tan-y-Bwlch station up to Croesor then follow the old incline up and over into Tanygrisiau and back to Portmadoc on the train.
