Hiya!

Just joined the forum - as of last night I became the proud owner of a 1984 Bedford CF horsebox...who shall henceforth be known as Bessie!

I was a bit scared - had people warn me not to bother as parts impossible to find and nobody would work on it etc, etc. Pleased to see from the many posts on here that that doesn't seem to be the case!
Luckily Bessie seems to have been well maintained and regularly serviced. She certainly looks and runs well (albeit a little on the slow side, but hey, she's an old gal!)

I am a complete technical numpty, so hope I will be able to find a good garage reasonablly locally who I can trust to take good care of my little bus. Any help in that direction will be much appreciated.

Cheers!

croeso to the "bedheads "
first the newbies lecture
anything you want help with try a search first as we've covered most topics over the last 5 years. if that doesn't bring you the answer post tech questions in cf q and anything else in the relevant section- usually general
you can sign up for the e mag in general
locate yourself on the members map in general
buy a club t shirt/sweatshirt from Andy Ross [see general]
you've already introduced yourself so i don't have to tell you about that and hopefully we'll see you at a meet next year
and you post a pic of your love in pics and one of your self in mug shots [or on the members map or all 3]

apologies for cut and paste but it does get a bit typing it out every time..

a horsebox. is it going to stay a horsebox or is it for conversion?
do we have any other horseboxes on here?
irelevant really as you still are a bedhead and parts aren't too bad if you know where to go and that's one of the things we're about..

as to a good mechanic - i think it's about time we had a section in cf questions for us to list our fav mechanics. I will kick it off tonite..

Bessie

Cheers Chaps

Bessie was bought as a horsebox and will remain as such - it's taken me a looong time to get one and as funds are low a cheap and cheerful Beddy was about all we could afford (anybody who says anything about people with horses having money is a LIAR);D

I'll post my questions in the relevant bit as I do have a couple!
