Greetings from New Zealand.

Hi, I'm Jeff, I'm sixty, and I live in Featherston New Zealand, with a sexy young wife, any number of cats, an old BMW and a retired VAS3 Bedford school bus which we are turning into a camper.
I owned a CF some years ago, but have been driving Toyota vans since.
However a 1982 rusty old cf350 is about to come my way, It has the Nissan LD28 Diesel motor, and when that is restored I will use it for work.(vinyl laying)
It's nice to be here, but not too likely that we will ever meet, but it would be good to time our next trip to the UK for a Bedford gathering.

Hello Jeff - I'd never heard of a VAS3, but looked at one through Google Images. It looks like a great platform for a camper.
As to the LD28 motor, would you post some pics to show how a straight 6 fits in a Bedford? I assume the gearbox has to come back to accommodate the extra length of the block

Thank you for your friendly welcomes.
We pick Fernando up on a trailer this comming weekend. The motor has been removed to fix, but the last owner lost intrest. I will photo what I can, but you are right Ed, the driveshaft will have been shortened.
I havent seen this van yet, but I'm told that with the Holden conversions, only the top rear of the engine cover needs to be enlarged.
We have to collect from Auckland; 400 miles away. Not looking forward to that trip!
