I've been following them all recently, trying to get a second myself. That was a fantastic price you got it for.

I was hugely tempted by the Duple bus conversion, as I reckon the reserve will be around 1500, but I had a beer and thought about a 7.6 litre full-size bus sitting on my drive... The Bristolian currently up looks nice too, but I'm guessing it has a silly reserve.

Anyway, the crunchy second gear is a common problem on CF1s, but the 'box should last a long, long time. Looks in lovely nick... a bit of a clean and away you go. Even if you had to spend a thousand on it, it would still be a nice little bargain.

Welcome to the Bedheads

(If you're going to be regulars, can I recommend signing up for full membership - it costs a couple of quid, helps Colin maintain this site and gives you discounts on a tonne of stuff - insurance, parts, etc.)

Apart from getting up too early in the morning, welcome to the Bedheads B & B. There`s a few of you nutters in Kent, must be catching, but don`t expect us all to reply before midday especially them Welsh ---- people On perusal, your beddy looks good. I have been unable to find one like yours, with two singles either side and no drivers door. Any idea of the maker? Good luck with it anyway.

Thanks for the replies, and we have just signed up for full membership. We picked up our beddie this evening and are very very pleased, didnt even notice the crunchy 2nd gear...Still not sure of the maker, but in the carrier bag of papers,i have found an engineers report from 1990, that states the vehicle was originally a cf350 military ambulance from New Zealand, manufactured in 1980 and imported to the uk in 1990, which makes it even more intriging..i will keep you all informed
