cf 250 autosleeper utopian pop top

Just thought I'd introduce my van - already made good use of the message bord for tips etc in the 6 weeks I've had her.

She's a 1981 pop top 4 berth bought on e-bay for the princely sum of £500 with new mot - bargain!

When i turned up to pick her up she was in a right state- she hadn't really been used in 6 months and had been sat on a farm in south wales - the wife was not too impressed with my new toy - it didn't help that she broke down (not once but twice!) on the way home (160 miles though after being stood for ages and no service).

After a damn good clean and some body repair to the front arches and windscreen surround she is already starting to look respectable.

New points, dizzy cap, rotor, condensor and she is running much better - redex is currently cleaning my carb for me and I've got a good bit of work to do on the drivers door and rear door o make them presentable, but it keeps me busy while wifey is doing all the homework for her teaching degree.

Will post some pictures just as soon as someone lets me know how!!

Craig.

Sorry - I should also introduce myself as well I suppose -

I'm Craig an engineer, my wife Jo is doing a teaching degree and we have two beautiful girls- Lauren 5 (soon) and Yasmin 3 (soon) - oh and an ugly dog Winston - he's a pug.
Always wanted a bedford cf since my parents had one when i was about 10, like the VW's etc. as well but have always thought you get more camper for your money with a bedford - and they're better looking.
Have had motorbikes, landrovers, triumph spitfires, Lambretta, vespa and more - like to do them up - not restore or show, just make them useable - I'm not patient enough for full restorations or show winners and like to enjoy the motors rather than worry too much about slight imperfections....
