Newbie!
Hello,
I am Barrie, nearly 42 I hail from Shrewsbury in Shropshire and have just become the proud owner of a Bedford CF Camper! A reg petrol, 2.3l i think lol... my wife an I have always been campers really, but we have just had our first child three weeks ago (Who incidentally we have called Gethin) and decided we needed a bit more draught / wet free comfort in our excoursions.
I bought her a couple of weeks ago, paid £1000, the exterior is quite good, had lots of body work done.. interior a bit tired and well used, but nothing a lick of paint, new cushions and covers etc won't sort out, which i have nearly completed..;]
My wife calls it my Wendy house, so the name Wendy has kinda stuck to the old girl! whom i must say i already cherish dearly!
Its not without it's problems though. so no doubt i shall be posting questions to you all very shortly. mostly bloody mind numbing electrics!
Hey ho, look forward to talking to you all.
Barrie...

Welcome to the site Barrie, and congratulations on the two new arrivals.
It wouldn't be a Beddie if it had no problems, but you sound like you are hooked already, so you will manage OK.

Hi Barrie,
Interiors are just a matter of time and effort - you'll have her looking smart in no time.
Electrics is my thing - whilst I regularly get slapped down for not knowing my thrunion pin from my wheezlebox-shaft (* engine and transmission component names invented to protect the innocent), if you've got any problems with wiring or batteries, I'm sure I can help.
For less than a tenner, you can join the club as a fully paid-up member. We don't promise sweet-running engines, virgins or club offices dripping in champagne, but there's a lot more to the site than you can currently see.
Either way, any probs.. just shout.
Welcome to the club

Thanks,
She... lol Wendy! is coachbuilt high top, A Reg, CF2 i think lol, now resplendant in blue and yellow interior, wimbledon check and blue and white polka dot upholstery and curtains!
Regarding the electrics ! most of it is now sorted, still not got the fuel guage working, guage ok, so probably the sender unit rotted away in the tank. and the split charge thingy i fitted... not convinced it is working? it is one of those intelligent units lol, that monitors voltage, but the relay just keeps kicking over and the van interior forever pulling power from the vehicle battery..
now the baby (HUMAN KIND) has settled a bit, will join the site and dig in a bit more!
looking forward to getting to know you all
