Another Newbie

Hi all, Just quickly introducing myself as I have just become the very happy owner of a 1975 CF autosleeper . Bought her from ebay on sunday and will be picking her up this sunday and I can't wait! My parents had one of these when I was a kid and I have always wanted one of my own. As I say, she's a '75 autosleeper 1800 manual in navy blue. Like all of my old duffers it will be used on a regular basis and will be a rolling project, (I will be attempting Devon from north essex next month) repairing and modifying as I go.
Meanwhile, untill I pick her up, here's a coupe of piccies from the ad.

Hi MisterE and welcome to the club.

I can definately agree with 'repairing as you go' The tools & spares I carry take up more room than our clothes. You should find plenty of assistance & answers on here though.;]

Welcome Mte I hope you can make it to Malvern in October with most of us regulars on the site. We have a 72 1800 and I carry minimal spares and a breakdown membership. ! luckily we have only needed it once and that was because our 37 year old fuel guage says about 1/4 when its actually empty (A lesson many of us learn). just keep a can with you !

Thanks for the welcome folks. I doubt we will be able to make Malvern, we are going to Woolacomb, Devon for a week in late October. I always carry the essential tools in my cars along with a gallon can, and I have home recovery. Not too concerned about reliability issues though, she'll look after me as long as I show her plenty of love (the van and the wife).
