a open invitation on the 6/3/2010
i would like to extend a open invitation to the members of CF-UK and invite any members interested in coming along to scottish-vanners day meet and Bbq
The meet will be held at duck bay marina, loch lomond on saturday the 6th of march, @ 1 pm
duck bay marina is situated off the A82 approx 2 miles past the balloch roundabout heading from glasgow.
there is a large grass area with ample parking along the waters edge rd that runs through duck bay, there is access to the small beach aswell and it is surrounded by stunning views of the loch and ben lomond, this is totaly family friendly, with a few benches, the marina hotel is within a 2 minute walk and has toilet facilities availble to the public aswell as a bar.
at this meet we will also have a Bbq  , all going well we will have our scottish vanner oil drum Bbq built aswell 
as the meet is in what should be spring the weather should have warmed up a bit, so if you have some deck chairs bring them along.
just incase the weather doesnt play ball, if anybody has a gazebo i would be eternaly gratefull if they brought it along, for that "just incase moment
and if you have any Bbq coals laying around then it will be great aswell.
this meet will be a open invitation too 2 other van forums, commer van fan & bedford cf uk,
and would like us to extend a welcome to them
as alot of there members dont have the funds or for other reasons to travel to shows in the south or there members in the south would like to enjoy some scottish banter and vanner hospitality in breathtakeing surroundings.

Hello Jim,
Have pmailed you about the Scottish Vanners meet. It's just down the road from where the Bedford club had their Christmas/New Year meet, very nice part of the world & it's easily accessible from the A82.

26 people comfirmed so far, some bringing there cars due to family, or other reasons(new vans  rae & ann), c`mon guys free grub, free banter, free parking, stunning views, this isnt sv trying to recruit new members its our wee way of introduceing different vanners from different sites and building a bond between people, lets see some of you beddie boys n girls come along even if you cant bring the van, come,
even for the grub and views
if you dont come i may just cry

coolio bigmac look forward to meeting ya mate, rae and ann will be there aswell so you have another beddie member at the meet, but once ya get talking to the rest of teh other guys n gals youll dig it

Thats ok Rae,i`m down at catterick on friday(hopefully weather ok down there)then home friday night,and i`ve got to pick daughter up on saturday dinnertime(she don`t do walking,lol),so i`ll see you when you arrive.

I am wanting to attend the event and was thinking of bringing my Bedford Autosleeper I have never been to one of the events before as I have only had the Bedford a couple of months. I was just checking it was still going ahead as planned and was wondering how many other Bedfords were attending.

hi john mate, your more than welcome to bring yourself and the beddie buddy, as rae has said at this time yours will probably be the only CF present, but with bigmac and rae there later there will be the beddie contingent present, be glad to see your there and have a natter with you aswell
cant make any promises for the weather though  so wrap up warm and wash yer van there will be photos
