Look at the restoration marathon!
The TL ran from approx 1982 to 1995. It was the last of the Bedford HGVs to grace our roads as the replacement for the aged but loved TK. Available from 5.7ton up to approx 32ton tractor unit. Rare to go above 16/17 ton on a TL model.

The TM started at 16/17 ton. At this weight they both shared the 8.2 litre blue series engine. Why you would choose one over the other when they both did the same weight but with a different cab, I do not know.

The picture that Gethin has posted is of the later version offered by AWD (yes the same as the tractor manufacturers). It has a smooth front grill and is most probably fitted with a perkins Phaser engine. It was this model that ran up to P reg
