hello

Hi
Okay, so I've been lurking about now for a couple of weeks doing a lot of fascinating if slightly scary reading!!!

I just got a 'new' van, and now, rather than pootling round the countryside like I'd imagined, I'm scratching my head and searching for a friendly welder, a sympathetic mechanic (since i just about know how to fasten a seatbelt I definately need one of those!) and trying to laugh so i don't cry!

i suspect i might be posting rather a lot of dopey questions....

anyway, just wanted to say hi and thank you - all of your bedford based enthusiasm has helped me decide to try my best sort it out rather than cut my losses and get a bus pass!

best wishes, lou

Welcome to the madhouse best place to find help for keeping your CF on the road.

If you can't find answers to problems by using the search facility (top right of page) then don't be afraid of asking questions however dopey you think they might be.

Hi lou and welcome to the club. Please post some pics of your van as we are always interested. I'm sure you will get there in the end. I too know only a few bits of mechanicing and I am quire frequently asking 'dopey' questions but everyone here is very supportive and don't take the mick (not obviously anayway!!)and my learning curve is vertical! so fire away. Our wagons are great but quite frequently need support and here is the best place especially if you are a card holder. best of luck.

Hi Loula-

You'll find not only advice but offers of help here and tons of hints and tips. Ive owned my beddy for just over a year, and desipte a vertical learning curve, Ive gone from knowing nothing useful to usefully not knowing, and thats the bit that gets infectious- despite the initial trepidation, youll find you can do jobs youve never done before or even thought you could! AND if you make a complete pigs ear of the job, salvation will be found within these web pages!

Enjoy the therapy a CF brings!

Mike

Hi Loula and welcome, Mikeyboy gets quote of the week for saying 'Enjoy the therapy a CF brings' because thats CF ownership in a nutshell. Its not a overpriced VW or a easier to get parts for Transit, Its a van for people who want to be a little different whilst seeking value for money at the same time. Theres also the bonus of having a great site like this to get advice, tips, and humour from which flows on a regular basis. Stick with it, you wont regret it. see if you can make a meet some time also, as its always nice to see new faces comimg on board.

regards - Wayne and Jackie.
