Hi, Im Paul Harrison from clitheroe Lancashire. I have a Bedford CF Dormobile Freeway, with a later Fibergalss roof!

Had her for over a month now. I bought it for £300 with a snapped timing belt, towed her home then scrawed round various mechanics with no luck.. either too expencive for me to afford or just plain not interested!

Im so happy with the help ive already recived!! keep it coming.. I guess its my round at the next meet.. lol

Look forward to meeting you all.. Paul

Well Hello again Paul, let me just say on your comment about looking for 1.8L parts and only finding 2.3L, you will find most parts for the 2.3 will also be fine for the 1.8. We have a 1.8L and whilst its not quick as long you treat it as a leisure vehicle and not a dragster you may get many years service from your £300 bargain. In addition you have the chance to meet up with many of the characters on here at the meets which in itself is worth £8.00 a year on card holder status.

O,k you posted the picture with the reg just before I asked the question, accordinding to the DVLA check that was registered on the 1/8/1972 which means its taxed exempt and will pay for itself in less than two years and you saying you HOPE its a bargain, Paul you have a real find there, well done, can't believe some idiots said you should scrap it bet if you said you were going to sell it on one or two of them would have offered to do you a favour and take it off your hands.

Looks good, well worth the £300 you paid for it.

You just missed out on a set of bumpers on ebay, went relatively cheap as well.

You can always try Adrian Bailey classics for a pair of front bumpers.

Hub caps here, but just over 2 hours to go

Rusty or sparkling, theres nothing that cheap for these vans.

Me personally I would be trying to restore as close as original, to keep the price, now yours is running, you should expect upwards to £2k for it now.

Do what you like with your van, it will make it unique, and theres some good looking vans out there, i.e scooby doo'd and mikes etc.

at least its only the cosmetic bits you need, and nothing that can keep you of the road.
Not sure if its legal to run with no bumpers though, might be worth checking out.

I don't know how strict the English MOT is, here in Holland we have the APK which is actually the same as the MOT.
It states you don't have to have bumper but there can't be any sharp edges which can harm pedestrians or cyclists.

You can always make a call to an MOT station an ask off course.

You can always weld up the holes and make a clean look, ill do some photo-shopping as an example. be back later.
