Unleaded? Regarding my 2.3 petrol slant, is it okay to run her on unleaded, or will i need to add lead replacement?Cheers-Paddy. ---------------------- | Thu 08 Mar 2012 @ 17:44 |

I drove past a garage today & I'm sure I saw that it sold leaded petrol.I've just been on google & sure enough,it does. This is the link on google street view.Doesn't help you down in Cornwall, paddy, but there is obviously some still around. Incidentally that sign on street view that says 4 star now says 5 star. ---------------------- | Thu 08 Mar 2012 @ 19:54 |

A quick google found this website that lists a garage in Ponsanooth .I have to admit I'd just assumed you couldn't get it anymore. ---------------------- | Thu 08 Mar 2012 @ 20:09 |

Leaded petrol is even more eye-wateringly expensive than unleaded though - at least 2.10 a litre at my local garage. Having said that, lead additive is also very pricey. The advantage of leaded petrol is that the coating deposited on the valve seats lasts for quite a while after you have stopped using it and returned to unleaded. Not sure if the same can be said of additive..... | Tue 13 Mar 2012 @ 22:27 |

At £2.10 a litre for leaded petrol it would make a lot of economic sense to convert the cylinder head to unleaded petrol. Martin | Tue 13 Mar 2012 @ 22:40 |
