Diff gearing. Hi jimfixit,The workshop manual should give you a way to ID which diff you have in your Bedford, my rear axle is a salisbury, so you need to know what make. Doug. ---------------------- | Fri 27 Jul 2012 @ 21:07 |

Axle ID Tnx for the quick reply Doug.Manual not helpfull. My Bedford is a 1974 short wheel base, fitted with a 2.3 engine from a early 80's box camper'I have a suspition that the rear axel also came from this van.If so I would expect the diff to be a bit high.Iwas told that the diff ratio was on the axel, cant find it yet.Still I live in hope.Cheers+Beers Jim.---------------------- | Sat 28 Jul 2012 @ 20:55 |

I had a similar problem with oil pressure, mine turned out to be a bad seal on the oil pickup pipe into the block. It also lost pressure when reved as it was pulling air in. I resealed the pickup but its still slow to make pressure, especialy if it's been stood for a while | Mon 30 Jul 2012 @ 10:37 |

Loss of pressure. Hi jimfixit. The most common causes I have came across in the past are oil seals on the pickup pipe or the seals on the pump or if the sump oil is very old a clogged pickup head mesh or of course the oil pressure switch. Doug. ---------------------- | Mon 30 Jul 2012 @ 17:12 |
