exhaust leak I have exhaust fumes coming into the cab. I have had all joints checked and there are no leaks. the exhaust comes out the off side of the van. my mechanic thinks the fumes may be coming in through the engine cover but if the joints are ok I don't know how. would having the exhaust coming out of the back of the camper make a difference | Mon 15 Sep 2014 @ 10:02 |

One way to detect where the fumes are coming in is smoke pellets. ---------------------- | Mon 15 Sep 2014 @ 12:32 |

depending on where your existing exhaust is coming out and a photo would help then it could be just a short extension thats needed . | Mon 15 Sep 2014 @ 21:12 |

i have had the same problem and all it was was the joint in the middle had pulled apart slightly and there was a very small gap where the exhaust is slotted to allow it push together, cut off the old clamp, pushed tightly back in and new clamp sorted well worth a look ---------------------- | Thu 25 Sep 2014 @ 21:01 |

exhaust leak when my mechanic checked my van out after the mot he thought the van was running very rich as when the engine was running the fumes were burning his eyes so he weakened the mixture screw by one and a half turns and hey ho no more fumes coming into the cab and better fuel consumption. on my last trip I covered 635 miles averaging over the entire trip 20.25 mpg | Wed 08 Oct 2014 @ 05:31 |
